'Sachaqa Live' events were  unique one-off gatherings initiated post-pandemic. They aimed to bridge the gap between art, culture, and community after physical distancing measures. Sachaqa Live events not only provided entertainment but also fostered a sense of connection and creativity during a time of global isolation.

Fiona Nollet from Belgium presented a solo exhibition at Clandestino. During this event, Clandestino graciously hosted our life drawing session and exhibition. The evening was enhanced by live DJs, creating a vibrant atmosphere. We forged new friendships and enjoyed a memorable night filled with delicious food, great company, and fantastic music.

In this cultural gathering, artists Hanna Campbell from the UK, Kiera Stuart from the USA, and Fiona Nollet from Belgium shared their creative processes. Jeff Gipe premiered his documentary 'Half-Life of Memory,'  The day also featured a Shuntu firing of artworks by Hannah and Jesus, who demonstrated traditional under-earth kiln firing techniques and showcased musical instruments crafted by the Sachaqa artists. It was a day of artistic exploration and cultural exchange, enriching for all participants.

An exhibition where the artists talked about their work and gave an origami class to the local children.

Kyoko experienced various ways to connect with nature while searching for subjects for her artwork, and had a variety of life-changing experiences through meeting wonderful people.  She made an indigo vat in Japanese traditional way in the jungle using compost of the indigo plant brought from France.
Part of her Sculpture program was to gather materials such as tree bark with local Don Angel and created a blue geometric sculpture using the indigo dye during her stay.

The idea of this exhibition was to bring together local knowledge and to give Iris the opportunity to talk about her creative process.  It was an amazing and very special gathering of women.

In the village of San Roque de Cumbaza various events are held to celebrate a variety of dates such as the anniversary of the village, mothers day, festival patronal etc In this event Sophie had the opportunity to  paint live.

Painting Live in front of an audience while listening to musicians creating fresh sounds influenced by the moment, can also be an opportunity for our resident artists through our @SachaqaLive events. Which only happen once or twice a year.

Sachaqa this year has held many different types of events which has given Artists the opportunity to meet our larger holistic and creative community.
Gaia wanted to bring the woman together before her exhibition, to take intimate photos of us all. We had a lovely afternoon hanging out by the river and we all got to be a beautiful muse for a profesional photographer

Artists staying at Sachaqa have the opportunity to share their work with our community. Sometimes in the form of an artist-talk or a display. We can also make the event a part of the creative process. Whatever you would like to explore, we can experiment and design an exhibition for your individual needs.
