Dormant Curiosity

Maisie McNeice is a British visual artist specializing in engraving.
Recently she exhibited in Pucallpa and presented an exhibition of her art in Lima after an artist residency at the Forest Centre in Pucallpa.
Maisie has been working at Sachaqa Art Center for a month exploring alternative methods of integrating found objects and natural pigments into her work.
Her work in Peru has focused on the idea of looking more closely at the details often overlooked.   She was raised in the African bush in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.  

 

After Sachaqa Maisie will be based on a biological research station in the Manu National Park and Tambopata National Reserve for a period of five months.   To develop creative ideas and develop a collection to exhibit in Lima in 2016.
